France’s National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) observed a significant rise in cyber espionage campaigns targeting strategic organizations in 2023. This continues to be France’s top threat ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Airbnb bans the use of indoor security cameras

Airbnb is banning the use of indoor security cameras in listings globally, the short-term rental platform announced on Monday.

Previously, Airbnb allowed hosts to have indoor security cameras in common areas as long as the devices were clearly disclosed on the listing page and placed in visible spots in the home. Indoor security cameras, however, were never allowed in spaces like sleeping areas and bathrooms.

PAS 24 is a minimum performance standard developed to address the security performance of doors used in various types of buildings, with a primary focus on residential structures. It sets out stringent criteria to test the resistance of doorsets against forced entry attempts.

Sharp increase in hospital fires highlights the importance of compliant fire door specification and inspections

New figures from NHS Digital show there were a shocking 1,372 fires recorded by NHS trusts in 2022/23. This was a significant increase of over 18% from the previous year, and the equivalent of almost four fires a day across the NHS.
