Search Techniques updates their product range as demand for random search procedures grows Search Techniques, a UK market leader in random search procedure technology, has launched new 2015 models of its highly successful SELEKTOR and SPOT-CHECKER random search selection equipment as demand for loss prevention technologies increases across retail, distribution and manufacturing environments. SELEKTOR I is a pre-programmed push button unit intended for installation at employee exit points and will select at random members of the workforce to be searched by site security. The ruggedized unit can be hand held, or desk or wall mounted using the wall bracket supplied. Skyguard to unveil new version of MYSOS personal safety alarm Skyguard will be unveiling a brand new version of its exclusive 'MySOS' personal safety alarm at the 2015 Safety and Health Expo, held at London's Excel between 16th to 18th June. The MySOS which already includes GSM, GPS and Man-down technologies, has been further enhanced by Skyguard with a number of new features in an updated key-fob sized design. Fully certified to BS 8484, the British Standard for Lone Worker Devices, the new MySOS will offer increased functionality whilst still retaining the title of Europe's smallest personal safety alarm. Secured Alarm Systems are installing access control equipment from ACT at a £25m regeneration project in Swansea, Wales. The integrator is using ACT door controllers, door stations and proximity fobs at the Urban Village development, an ongoing project that has already transformed the High Street and Strand area of Swansea with a set of mixed-use commercial and residential buildings. HDcctv Alliance the future pathway for analogue HD video HDcctv Alliance executive director Todd Rockoff claims that HDCVI 2.0 is now THE standard analogue HD interface for surveillance video. "HDCVI 2.0 provides the easiest possible migration from legacy NTSC or PAL video to 720p or 1080p surveillance," he said. "HDCVI 2.0 compliance ensures 100% multi-vendor plug 'n' play remote control. HDCVI 2.0 is the only analogue HD solution based on issued patents with a published specification and a rigorous compliance certification methodology."
The Alliance is also already looking ahead, and has developed a roadmap for the subsequent versions. When the next-generation HDCVI 3.0 standard is introduced, it will provide for cost-effective 4K surveillance video transmission, while remaining backwards compatible with HDCVI 2.0. Urmet's IP door entry secures new Lend Lease residential development in Battersea Property and infrastructure developer Lend Lease is using Urmet's IP video door entry and access control system at a new-build apartment complex in south London. Cobalt Place, a luxury eco-friendly project in the heart of Battersea Village, will use the Urmet IPervoice solution which requires only one Virtual LAN for the whole location. IPervoice meets Lend Lease's aim of single-platform control by operating from the site's main managed fibre network. Allegion announces new key account manager Allegion has confirmed the appointment of Alan Kent as Key Account Manager for the South UK, in a move which highlights the importance of regionalised bespoke door hardware specification for the specialist security provider. With more than 14 years' experience in the security industry, Alan will be based in the field conducting travel across the South of the UK - from Lands End to Margate - keeping customers up to date with changes and promotions, informing on the comprehensive solutions within Allegion's portfolio.
